The AC in the Slowrunner is nearly instantaneous. As soon as it starts, even after 1 week of sitting, it starts blowing cold. It will chill drinks in the cupholders in front of the vents. My Dad even randomly brought it up today, because he moved it while I was gone. He’s never experienced AC that quick. It is wonderful. Kona’s is adequate, I guess. It eventually cools down.

It honestly makes me miss daily driving it. Then I remember that it needs a bit of work to be comfortable to daily drive(safe), and it gets 12 mpg out of an engine that doesn’t propel it in a reasonable amount of time(needs a 1UZ V8 swap, bolts in). I think tinting my windows will help the Fiesta quite a bit.

Although the AC is excellent in my 3rd gen, mileage drops from about 17.5 to 16 when the AC is on.

There were a few glorious weeks where I didn’t have to run the heater or AC and could just drive everywhere with the windows down.

Yeah, the AC in my Lexus, while not the coldest, is instant. I love it.
